Scott Stearsman

Head of Premier and Branch Banking

Scott Stearsman is the head of Premier and Branch Banking for Truist Financial Corporation, a purpose-driven financial services organization committed to inspiring and building better lives and communities. He is a member of the Truist Operating Council.

As head of Premier and Branch Banking, Stearsman drives the delivery of distinctive client experiences for affluent and consumer clients while empowering people to achieve their financial goals no matter where they are on their financial journey.

Stearsman leads over 11,000 teammates serving clients at more than 1,900 branches across the Southeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Texas, through a team of Premier advisors serving affluent clients’ full financial lifecycle with relationship-based and advice-driven partnership, and a virtual team of financial specialists. He also oversees workplace banking and financial empowerment and the delivery of educational community partnership.

Having joined Truist in 2013, Stearsman has over 25 years of financial services leadership experience. Prior to being named to his current position, Stearsman has served as head of Premier Banking, head of Small Business Banking, and other leadership roles within retail banking at Truist. He has also held leadership roles at Bank of America.

Stearsman is passionate about giving back to the community and currently serves as a board member of United Way of Greater Atlanta. He is a graduate of the University of Kentucky where he earned a bachelor’s degree with a double major in finance and marketing.
