Tarun Mehta

Head of Enterprise Strategy, Corporate Development and Truist Ventures

Tarun Mehta is the head of enterprise strategy, corporate development, and Truist Ventures at Truist Financial Corporation, a purpose-driven financial services organization committed to inspiring and building better lives and communities. In this role, Mehta leads strategic planning, corporate M&A activity, and venture capital investments for Truist. Mehta was named to his current position in June 2023 and is a member of Truist's Operating Council. 

Previously, Mehta spent nine years as the group head of financial institutions investment banking at Truist Securities. Prior to Truist, he was a managing director at Deutsche Bank and an executive director at JP Morgan’s Financial Institutions Investment Banking Group.  

Tarun’s and his wife Nadine’s personal purpose in life is achieved through "Gift of Water," a personal charity they started in 2010 to provide safe drinking water to poor rural villages in India. 

Tarun earned his master’s degree from Columbia University, New York. He is also a chartered accountant.
