Chief Credit Officer and Deputy Chief Risk Officer
Mohit “Mo” Ramani is chief credit officer and deputy chief risk officer for Truist Financial Corporation, a purpose-driven financial services organization committed to inspiring and building better lives and communities. In addition to leading the credit risk program, Mo leads the model development, climate risk and other risk programs at Truist. He is also a member of Truist's Operating Council.
During his tenure at Truist, he has served in a variety of senior risk management leadership roles, including chief business unit risk officer and head of credit risk review. Prior to that, he served as the chief risk officer for the wholesale segment where he oversaw credit, operational, and compliance risk for commercial and business banking, corporate and investment banking, commercial real estate, private wealth management, and treasury and payment solutions.
While at Truist, he has held other senior positions including chief credit officer and head of financial risk management. In this role, he led the market and liquidity risk teams and oversaw model development for the enterprise.
Led by a personal purpose that includes community stewardship, Mo is an avid supporter of causes that focus on advancing education and the performing arts. He is also a past member of the Risk Management Association Board of Directors.
Mo earned a master’s degree in business administration in finance and accounting from the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University and a bachelor’s degree in finance and management from Florida State University.
