Chief Financial Officer
Mike Maguire is chief financial officer for Truist Financial Corporation, a purpose-driven financial services organization committed to inspiring and building better lives and communities. He oversees Truist’s financial planning and analysis, treasury, accounting, tax, investor relations, corporate strategy, M&A, and sourcing. He is a member of Truist's Operating Council.
Prior to his current role, Maguire served as chief consumer finance and payments officer for Truist, where he led the company’s consumer lending businesses, including LightStream, Service Finance, Sheffield Financial, and its auto lending units. He was also responsible for Truist’s wholesale payments businesses and enterprise payments strategy.
Previously, Maguire served as head of enterprise partnerships and investments at Truist, leading the sourcing, execution, and management of strategic equity investments in the financial technology sector.
Prior to that, Maguire spent 16 years as an investment banker at Truist Securities, where he completed more than 150 advisory and financing transactions in the financial technology sector, including buy- and sell-side mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings and follow-on offerings, private placements, high-yield offerings, leveraged loans, and restructurings. Maguire last led the company’s technology and services investment banking group.
Maguire currently serves on the board of directors of Housing Impact Fund, a social impact fund addressing housing insecurity and mobility in Charlotte, and on the board of trustees of Charlotte Country Day School, a leading independent school in Charlotte.
Maguire earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an MBA from Emory University.
