Vice Chair, Wholesale Banking

Harold Ford Jr. is a vice chair in the Wholesale Banking business at Truist Financial Corporation, a purpose-driven financial services organization committed to inspiring and building better lives and communities. 

Named to his position in 2026, Ford partners closely with Truist’s client coverage teams to advise commercial, corporate, institutional, and high-net-worth clients, bolster business development activity, and accelerate growth at Truist. He is also a member of Truist’s Operating Council.

Most recently, Ford served as executive vice president and regional president for New York at PNC Bank where he was responsible for new business development and deepening relationships with clients and community organizations. Prior to PNC, Ford spent more than a decade in leadership roles at Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley.

From 1997 through 2007, Ford represented Tennessee's 9th Congressional District. While in Congress, he established a strong network in Washington, D.C. and was a member of the House Financial Services, Budget and Education Committees.

Ford actively invests in the next generation of leaders, having served as a visiting professor of public policy at the University of Michigan, New York University and Vanderbilt University. He currently serves on the board of directors of CME Group and SIGA Technologies, as well as RIVER FUND New York, a poverty intervention center focused on supporting families and individuals. Ford also serves as a contributor to Fox News.

Ford earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a juris doctor from the University of Michigan.
