Head of Consumer Lending
Fadie “Freddy” Itayem is the head of consumer lending for Truist Financial Corporation and a member of the Truist Operating Council. An accomplished leader in the financial services industry with 20 years of experience, Itayem is responsible for executing consumer loan balance sheet strategy, aligning capital to the highest and best use with an increased focus on utilizing our portfolio to deepen client relationships. He leads real estate lending, unsecured and personal lending, indirect lending, mortgage servicing, consumer capital markets and portfolio performance.
An 11-year veteran of Truist, Itayem’s held numerous leadership roles at the bank including most recently serving as head of enterprise finance, responsible for building out the chief financial officer organization as well as driving business performance for Truist. Prior to that role, Itayem served as corporate treasurer, during which he orchestrated one of the largest balance sheet repositions in company history, setting the tone of Truist to unlock capital and grow our balance sheet. Itayem also previously served as chief financial officer for the Truist Consumer and Wealth businesses.

Itayem holds duel bachelor's degrees from Florida State University and an MBA from the University of Tennessee. When he isn't working, Itayem enjoys spending time with his wife and their three daughters.
